Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Pingo ride-sharing application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Our Services
Pingo provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers. Pingo does not provide transportation services directly and is not a transportation carrier. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Pingo.
User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Rider Responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup and destination locations.
- Be ready at the pickup location when the driver arrives.
- Treat drivers with respect and courtesy.
- Pay all applicable fares and fees promptly.
- Do not engage in any illegal activity during rides.
- Wear seatbelts where required by law.
Payment Terms
- Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and applicable rates displayed in the App.
- You agree to pay the fare shown at the end of each ride.
- Additional charges may apply for cancellations, wait times, or cleaning fees.
- Wallet balances are non-refundable except where required by law.
Cancellations
You may cancel a ride request before the driver arrives. Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel after the driver has accepted the request and is en route. Repeated cancellations may result in account restrictions.
Safety
While Pingo takes reasonable measures to verify drivers, we cannot guarantee the safety of every ride. You use the service at your own risk. We encourage all users to take standard safety precautions and to report any concerns immediately through the App.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, threaten, or harm drivers or other users.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
- Use the App to transmit harmful code or malware.
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the App.
Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property displayed in the App are owned by Pingo or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pingo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for rides in the preceding 12 months.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
